Who has the best pizza in Siouxland? When asking around I got so many delicious answers as to what pizza makes Siouxlanders mouths water. While everyone loves pizza in general, and very few would turn down this cheesy, saucy treat, everyone has their own thoughts about what makes a pizza the best pizza. Let’s dig in.

Buffalo Alice

You will find Buffalo Alice or known to locals as BA’s at 1022 4th St. Voted best bar on 4th Street by Siouxland Weekender. While offering a very impressive drink menu, they are also well known for the pizza. Using their signature pizza sauce for over 40 years and having fresh Sunkist Bakery dough delivered daily. You can choose one of their specialty creations or build your very own pizza. So grab your friends and head down to BA’s for drinks and a slice.


El Fredo’s Pizza

Serving Sioux City since 1957, Fred S. Lennon created his dream to produce high-quality food with a homemade feel. In fact, they still use Fred’s recipes today for many of their products. When it’s great why change it. El Fredo’s prides itself on being family-friendly with delicious, affordable food. Don’t know what your hunger for? You can choose one of their specialty pizzas or build your own. They even offer a variety of pasta dishes. You will find El Fredo’s at 523 W. 19 Street or 4511 Stone Ave.

This trio of pizza places is definitely a must depending on what side of town you are on. Opening in 1977 with Westside Pizza, and later added Bob Roe’s Point After and North End Zone.

It is truly the place "Where Good Times Gather". It is a very relaxed environment with something to do for everyone. You can catch the big game on TV or celebrate your team's victory with their delicious pizza. They have a pizza for groups of all sizes offering pizzas 10” to 16”. All locations have a great selection of specialty pizzas as well as a build your own to fit your mood. Also, also pair it with their wings offered in many flavors including buffalo, honey mustard and asian zing.

Rosie’s Pizza

You will find this tasty gem on the other side of the river in South Sioux City. Serving Siouxland for over 35 years, Rosie’s is known for its fresh ingredients and bread-like crust. The menu is minimalist and keeps it to the classics with a few specialty pizzas available. So head down to 2126 Dakota Avenue try Rosies today!

Jerry’s Pizza

For over 60 years, Jerry’s has been serving its signature thin-crust pizza. They pride themselves on using the highest quality toppings like real pork sausage, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. Like Rosie’s, Jerry’s has a minimalist menu focusing on what it does best. Making delicious pizza with classic ingredients and crispy thin crust. You can find Jerry’s at 2 convenient locations, 1417 Morningside and 25th & Hamilton Blvd.

P’s Pizza House

This is the newest pizza business in Siouxland on our list. P’s offers hand-tossed, brick-oven style pizza made in the bar area where you can see your pizza cooking. Unlike some of our other pizzas, P’s crust only comes in one size a 14” crust with a gluten-free crust option available. While you can build your own pizza they are known for their specialty options. Hickory + Oak Pizza is an Iowa Barbeque Company brisket and pulled pork, pepper medley, BBQ sauce, Monterey Jack, cheddar, fried onion, and scallion, a fan favorite. San Italia Pizza is a Mozzarella, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Gorgonzola, fig jam, Prosciutto di Parma, arugula, balsamic glaze, no sauce. These are just a few of the artisan pizzas offered at P’s. Supporting local microbrews, P’s also serves local and regional beers and switch them out on a regular basis so you will always find a new beverage to try.
